ONLINE SAFETY
It is everyone's responsibility to safeguard children.
Keeping safe online is an important message that we regularly give to our children and this is a key theme of our Computing Curriculum and our wider curriculum. Our aim for our Digital Literacy focus is to empower learners to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world.
We have taken age-appropriate outcomes from Education for a Connected World - UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCIS), which gives guidance to support children to live knowledgeably, responsibly and safely in a digital world. This framework focusses on eight strands of online education;
- Self-Image and Identity
- Online Relationships
- Online Reputation
- Online Bullying
- Managing Online Information
- Health, Well-being and Lifestyle
- Privacy and Security
- Copyright and Ownership
